Return of the Polar Vortex

As I read one of my favorite blogs, Cupcakes and Cashmere, I long for less layers, painted toes nails (that people will actually see) and cold drinks.  While Mrs. Shuman lives in LA, I  reside in a place a little colder and am preparing for the return of the Polar Vortex.  While this winter has been a warmer than average for everyone else in the entire world, Minnesota is breaking cold records and I am armed with the essentials without looking like  I gave up on life.  My favorites include a slouchy hat, warm jacket, a hand-knit scarf made my wonderful Mom and fantastic boots.

My jacket is far from brand new but it gets a lot of love. You can one find one here and on sale.
