Patience is a Virtue

The one wardrobe staple I've been on the hunt for a few years is leather motorcycle jacket. Not there is a shortage of options, I mean hop on Shopstyle and you'll find almost 500 of them.  My problem is I refuse to spend a paycheck's worth on it ( Ha, I refuse to spend a car payments worth) and I want the perfect one; not too stiff, not too short, sleeves long enough.  Talk about a fashion challenge. Well, along came Thanksgiving Day shopping, yep, I'm one of those people.  My sister and I went last year and it was kind of awesome; not super busy and pretty good deals. I tend to do the most damage with my sisters, she's a pretty bad influence. Needless to say, once I tried this on, she wouldn't let me pass it up.  So, thanks, Sis for peer pressure shopping.

I would like to send out a huge Thank You to Angel Rowell for having coffee with me and taking some great shots.

50 Days

I just saw a headline in an email that stated '50 days until Christmas'.  When did countdowns start so early?  The good news I don't have to start Christmas shopping for another 45 days.  Yes, I am a Christmas shopping procrastinator.  I love to shop when I'm bundled up with gloves, hat and scarf and when there is Christmas music playing and even the bell ringers outside the every store.
So until then, I will enjoy the snowless ground and running errands without the weight of all the winter layers that need to be schlepped around when there is 5 feet of snow.

The Cape Trend

This Fall has been a little crazy in my household and I haven't posted anything in a VERY long time.  Apparently, my free time has been a little nonexistent.  T and I moved into our house over two years ago and its a bit of fixer-upper.  This summer's project was a new garage, well, maybe 'garage' isn't quite accurate, its more of a home for the vehicles.  T finally has his dream garage.  And since we are do-it-yourselfers, we did a lot of it ourselves.  There are only a few more touches to complete but I am happy to announce that I now able to actually park in it.  Which is such a luxury in Minnesota, especially going into fall/winter.
