It hit 60 degrees this weekend. SIXTY DEGREES, it's literally been six months since that's happened around here. This kind of weather will get you inspired to get your summer clothes out and sweaters put away.  Unfortunately, this doesn't last and we realize it will be a slow road to summer (and, lets' face it, Spring).  Here are some spring layering ideas.

 I'm a bit of a book nerd, there is always a book on my nightstand.  Here are some good reads that I would recommend to anyone: Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susan, Dark Places by Gillian Flynn, Running with Scissors, Augsten Burroughs, Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay, Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.
And if you read Dark Places and love it, read Gillian's book 'Gone Girl'.  This book will be coming out on the big screen sometime this fall. And the book is ALWAYS better

I've had a hard time thinking about Spring clothes shopping since it could be a few months before I get to wear them.  But I was inspired by a co-worker last week to update my jewelry collection.  So I bought a couple new pieces and rediscovered pieces that have been neglected.  I played around with some combinations to get a little more use out of what I have and to create new looks.

I have to admit, I didn't watch the Oscars.  I'm not a huge fan of awards shows; the speeches are pretty boring and winners aren't picked without bias and politics. The only thing that really interests me is the Fashion and thanks to the wonderful world of the web, I can see those anytime.

So here are my top five.

They might be obvious, but that doesn't mean they're not good.  I loved seeing the feminine looks on the carpet this year.  It was full of great colors and amazing detail, just take a look at Jenna Dewan's dress and the godets on Hermione's (I mean, Emma Watson) dress.
