It's hard to tell in these pics but I added a little distressing to these jeans. They have a great fit but I needed them a little longer and with the hem taken down I thought some distressed spots would be perfect. The key to DIY distressed denim is actually using a seam ripper. This works better than sand paper because the sandpaper will remove all fabric, where using a seam ripper you can pick away at the vertical threads leaving the horizontal ones behind. It can be a bit tedius but a great task when watching TV.
